1. Who can use Bantu
You must be 18 or over. We check age at sign-up, and we remove accounts of anyone we find to be under 18. You must also be able to enter a binding agreement where you live.
2. Your account
One account per person. Use your real first name and recent photos of yourself. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; what happens on your account is your responsibility.
3. Your content
Your photos, videos, posts and messages stay yours. You give us permission to store and show them inside Bantu so the app works. Circle posts are shown for 24 hours. Only post content you have the right to share, and only of people who agreed to appear in it.
4. The rules
Do not:
- Pretend to be someone else or lie about your age.
- Harass, threaten, shame or discriminate against anyone, including on the basis of tribe, nationality, religion or appearance.
- Post sexual, violent or illegal content.
- Ask members for money, or use Bantu to sell anything.
- Share another member's photos, messages or details outside Bantu.
- Use bots, scripts or multiple accounts.
Anyone can report a member. A report also blocks both ways. We may remove content, limit features or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may do so without warning when safety is at risk.
5. Bantu+
Bantu is free. Bantu+ is an optional subscription that lifts daily limits. You buy it through Google Play, which handles billing, renewal and refunds under its own terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Cancel any time in your Google Play subscriptions; access continues to the end of the paid period.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account from the app at any time: Account, then Delete account at the bottom. See how to delete your account for what is deleted and what is kept. We can close accounts that break these terms.
7. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Bantu safe, but we cannot check every member or every message. Meet people in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to someone you have only met online. Bantu is provided as it is; to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what members do or for losses that come from using the app. These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY].
